Onion Rings

This super easy recipe makes for an underrated side dish that comes together in about 20 minutes. Deliciously savory and crispy, these onion rings are sure to level up any meal.
1: Add ground flax seed to a medium sized bowl and cover with water. Set aside and let thicken. 2: Add flour and seasonings to another bowl and whisk to combine. Set aside. 3: Cut your onion into thick slices and separate the layers, ensuring they hold up in the batter. 4: Add hot sauce and mustard to the flax seed mix and whisk together. 5: Coat onion rings in wet batter then dry 2 times each. Repeat for all rings. 6: Heat oil in a large pan and fry until golden on each side. 7: Remove and place on a paper towel lined plate.
