tsp pepper

tsp onion powder

cup avocado oil

tbsp agave

tsp dried thyme

clove garlic clove

tsp garlic powder

tbsp tomato paste

fl oz lemon juice

tsp salt

tbsp fresh basil

Instructions
1: Start by slicing the onions and cooking them in a medium-high heat pan for 5-7 minutes to expel moisture. 2: Add a pinch of salt and continue to cook until browned. 3: Deglaze and mix every 3-5 minutes on medium heat until the onions are deep rich and brown. 4: Towards the end, add the sugar, then set aside. 5: For the tofu and sweet chili sauce, add all said ingredients to a bowl and mix until combined. 6: Meanwhile, slice the tofu thin and cook in a grill pan or skillet. 7: Coat lightly with oil and then spices, brushing over the chili sauce while the tofu cooks (save some to top with). 8: Assemble the sandwich with toppings of choice and enjoy.View original recipe
