What you need

cup flour

tbsp ground flaxseed

tbsp hot sauce

tsp mustard

cup water

tsp salt

tsp pepper

tsp paprika

tsp garlic powder

tsp thyme
Instructions
1: Add ground flax seed to a medium sized bowl and cover with water. Set aside and let thicken. 2: Add flour and seasonings to another bowl and whisk to combine. Set aside. 3: Cut your onion into thick slices and separate the layers, ensuring they hold up in the batter. 4: Add hot sauce and mustard to the flax seed mix and whisk together. 5: Coat onion rings in wet batter then dry 2 times each. Repeat for all rings. 6: Heat oil in a large pan and fry until golden on each side. 7: Remove and place on a paper towel lined plate.View original recipe
