Delicious homemade vegan donuts that rival Dunkin and Krispy Kreme. Perfectly fluffy and coated with a sweet glaze, these treats are suitable for everyone.

What you need

cup flour

cup vegan margarine

cup sugar

pinch salt

tsp active dry yeast

cup powdered sugar

tbsp maple syrup

tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1: In a small bowl mix plant milk, vegan butter, and active dry yeast. Set aside for yeast activation. 2: Add flour and sugar to standing mixer with dough hook or mixing bowl and whisk to incorporate. 3: Once yeast is activated, add wet mix to dry. If using a standing mixer, let mix on medium speed for 5 mins. If using a bowl, make a well in center of dry and mix until incorporated and then knead for 6 mins. 4: Transfer to lightly oiled bowl and cover to proof for 1 hour. 5: Once proofed, turn out dough and roll to desired thickness. Cut out donut shapes and set aside to proof for 1 hour. 6: Fry in large pot until golden on each side. Repeat for the remainder of donuts. 7: Make icing with powdered sugar, plant milk, maple syrup, and vanilla. Dip donuts in icing. 8: Serve and enjoy!View original recipe
